On 19th August 2025, Lumut Maritime Industrial City (LuMIC), in collaboration with the Perak State Development Corporation (PKNPk), convened an engagement session with the Ministry of Transport (MOT) at DoubleTree by Hilton, Damai Laut Resort.

The session, chaired by Dr. Siva Sangar Krishnan, Secretary of the Maritime Division, MOT, brought together key representatives from Federal and State Government agencies. Discussions fostered open dialogue, covering technical insights, exchange of perspectives, and exploration of potential collaborations, all aimed at strengthening partnerships in the maritime sector.

To conclude the engagement, LuMIC hosted the delegation on a boat site visit along Sungai Manjung, showcasing the strategic locations of LuMIC sites and the ongoing developments at Lumut Maritime Terminal 2 (LMT2).

This engagement further highlighted the project’s significant role in positioning Lumut as a competitive maritime hub and as a catalyst for economic growth in Perak.
